$29 Million Restaurant Experience: Picasso at Bellagio Las Vegas

This episode is another one of our popular restaurant reviews, but with an epic twist. Since it's Colt's birthday, we wanted to make the experience all about him.

There are 2 things you need to know about Colt. First, he's one of the most knowledgeable and passionate survivalists and nature fanatics under the age of 18. That side of him is like Bear Grylls meets Steve Irwin. Second, he loves getting dressed up. He'll insist on wearing a tie when the rest of us are wearing tank tops and shorts. He basically goes from Crocodile Hunter to James Bond after 5pm.

So not only did we choose one of the fanciest restaurants in Vegas for his birthday dinner, but we also bought him a suit, had it custom tailored, and then booked a luxurious post-dinner experience that he'll never forget. And everything besides the suit is still a surprise to him.

We had hoped to use this occasion to finally take Colt to our favorite restaurant ever, Le Cirque, but they still hadn’t opened back up post-covid. So we decided on Picasso, a lakeside Bellagio restaurant that you may recognize from the film Ocean’s Eleven. It’s upscale atmosphere and unbeatable fountain views made it the perfect backdrop for the night’s theme.

Following dinner, we took a private helicopter strip tour that flew us along both sides of the Vegas strip and past the Glitter Gulch of downtown. And even though the flight was only about 10 minutes in the air, anything more would start to feel a bit redundant. If it’s available, you should definitely request or upgrade to the 2 front passenger seats because the views are literally 5 times as good up there. Either way, you’ll get an entirely new view of the city that’s worth experiencing at least once.
